The approach of the training sessions can be different for everyone, taking into account specific goals, sports history and possible injuries.

However, we see that by implementing High Intensity Interval Training with each of these workouts, progress at all levels is significantly improved.

Losing fat

​

Studies have shown that HIIT can help you lose fat.

​

One study looked at 13 experiments and 424 overweight or obese adults.

Interestingly, both HIIT and traditional moderate-intensity exercise were found to reduce body fat and waist circumference.

​

A series of other studies also indicate that HIIT can reduce body fat despite its relatively short time commitment 

However, like other forms of exercise, HIIT may be most effective for fat loss in overweight or obese people.

 

In addition to the risk of cardiovascular disease, being overweight increases the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, gallstones, accelerated wear and tear of joints, sleep breathing problems and various malignant tumors and thus the risk of death.

In addition to aiding fat loss, HIIT may help increase muscle mass in certain people

However, the increase in muscle mass is mainly in the muscles that are most used, often those in the trunk and legs. In addition, muscle mass is more likely to increase in people who were less active to begin with.

Some studies in active people have not shown increased muscle mass after HIIT programs. Weight training remains the gold standard form of exercise to increase muscle mass, but high-intensity intervals may support a small amount of muscle growth.

One of the ways HIIT helps you burn calories actually comes after you finish exercising.

Several studies have shown that HIIT has an impressive ability to boost your metabolism for hours after training.

Some researchers have even found that HIIT boosts your metabolism after exercise more than jogging or strength training. The same study also found that HIIT can shift the body's metabolism toward using fat for energy instead of carbohydrates.
